NEIGHBOUR HEADLINES

A dispute over a fence in Australia turned ugly when Tamara Sharp accused her neighbour of being a child molester. She sent letters to the local child protective services agency as well as the school attended by her neighbours children. Not content with labeling the man as a pedophile she also attempted to break up his marriage by telling his wife fabricated stories regarding prostitutes. Police traced the anonymous letters to her home, and Mrs. Sharp will now spend 30 days in jail.

A neighbour undertaking a major renovation can be a source of frustration for even the best of us. Months of construction noise, dust and debris can hamper your ability to enjoy the backyard patio and front porch. If you live next door to Jose Herrera, you have enjoyed a construction project that has been ongoing for 14 years and isn't even close to completion. Herrera attempted to build his dreamhome, but years of delays, missed deadlines, lack of financing, and failed home inspections has resulted in a 14 year construction project. His home is considered a neighbourhood landmark, but probably not in the way Herrera intended.
